Hotel and Travel Information
We have reserved a small block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn on the square in Bloomington at a discounted rate of $134 for Friday, 20 May, and Saturday, 21 May. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk from the Jacobs School. Conference attendees can go to the website http://hiltongardeninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/indiana/hilton-garden-inn-bloomington-BMGINGI/index.html and enter the code JSMC. This must be done 30 days in advance (by April 20).
Conference attendees should plan to fly to Indianapolis airport (IND), which is roughly one hour from Bloomington. It is also possible to fly to Louisville, Kentucky (SDF), which is approximately two hours away. (Please be sure NOT to book travel to Bloomington, Illinois, which does have a commercial airport and is sometimes confused with Bloomington, Indiana.) Your best option is to rent a car from the airport, although shuttle service is also available for $18 (one way) athttps://goexpresstravel.com/airport_shuttle. Be advised that the shuttle runs somewhat infrequently, and does not drop off at the conference hotel.
